Notes:

Not a "star party", but rather a frequent gathering of NCAS members.  Anyone is welcome. People from the Denver and Longmont clubs are also usually present.  Friday & Saturday nights of a new moon will find several scopes set up.  The area is available for astro use any night.  Camping is generally frowned on, however feel free to sleep in your vehicle until you are ready to pack up and go home.

Skies are OK.  The mountain air wave is usually crashing down to the plains at about this location, so turbulence is a frequent annoyance.  Light domes from the surrounding cities keep growing.  Air traffic in and out of DIA makes imaging very frustrating until after midnight, then it slows to a tolerable level.  Even with all of this, it is a good site for a single night away from the yard lights.

The site is provided by a private individual.  Please respect his property and keep our access available.
