Notes:

A public program presented by the Park Service.  A retired professional astronomer is on-hand and gives a short presentation before viewing begins.  Volunteers are sought to provide the telescopes and manpower to support the program.  You do not have to be a registered volunteer, just show up with a scope and you will be put to work.  Most of the public, expect around 50 visitors, are gone about an hour after sundown - they don't come dressed properly - and then the rest of the night is yours.  No camping is allowed at the site, not even sleeping in your vehicle.  Registered volunteers can camp for free at Moraine Park campground.

Skies don't come any better in Colorado.  Horizons are somewhat limited by the surrounding mountains.

If you are planning a vacation to Rocky, include one of the scheduled dates.
